Ms Jane Carew-Reid   B.A(Comms)

General Manager (Corporate)

Ms Carew-Reid has over 12 years' experience in commercial management and corporate services having worked previously for professional sport (Australian Rules Football), advertising, marketing, 3D animation design, and governmental organisations. Jane joined Altech in 2010 and is responsible for the management of the Company's Australian mining operations; corporate services for both Australian and Malaysian operations; ICT services; investor and project marketing; media and communications; strategic business planning and reporting; as well as Malaysian-based human resources management. Ms Carew-Reid holds a Bachelor of Arts/Communications (English Literature) degree from the University of Western Australia. 

 

Dr. Jingyuan Liu   PhD AAICD

General Manager (Operations)

Dr. Liu has over 20 years' experience in project management, process and equipment design for minerals processing and in the chemicals, non-ferrous metals, iron & steel and energy industries, both in Australian and internationally. He was awarded a PhD in chemical engineering from the University of Newcastle, Australia. He has worked in senior chemical engineering roles with leading companies such as Hatch Engineering and Metso Minerals in Australia and Malaysia.  Dr Liu was previously General Manager, Development and Technologies with Galaxy Resources Limited, a high purity lithium carbonate producer. Dr Liu’s extensive chemicals and processing experience, including plant construction, commissioning and the manufacture of high purity chemicals will be invaluable for Altech’s next phase of development. 

 

Ms Summer Qi  M.ChemEng

Process Engineer

Ms Qi has a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Adelaide. She was born in China and speaks fluently in Mandarin. Ms Qi joined the Company in August 2010 and is responsible for research and development in mineral processing technologies, feasibility studies and costing of these processes. This includes contributing to the Company’s R&D activities for the chemical engineering of the high purity alumina (HPA) project, including research for the optimisation and advancement of the HPA processing technology. 

Prior to joining Altech, Ms Qi was the Chemical Engineer for an ASX-listed company, Reclaim Industries. She was responsible for researching a variety of topics relating to chemical engineering to investigate possible products in rubber recycling industries. Furthermore, she assisted in communication and negotiations with Chinese clients and potential joint venture partners.

 

Mr Roger Pover

Maintenance Manager

Mr Pover has over 35 years’ experience in the mining and chemical processing industry involving mineral sands, alumina refining, lithium minerals, iron ore, tantulum minerals and tin production. Roger's broad range of experience and knowledge working at a professional senior management level within site operations is invaluable for Altech's next phase of development. His experience includes maintenance management, engineering projects, production operations and safety management roles including Deputy Registered Mine Manager.

 
Mr Mark Griffiths
 
Project Manager
 
Mark is a mechanical engineer with 15 years experience in manufacturing and minerals processing design in Australia and Canada. He has extensive experience in mechanical equipment selection and sizing activities, along with the collation of capital and operating cost estimates, for a number of engineering studies, specifically for high purity alumina, platinum group metals (PGMs), nickel, and iron ore projects. As Altech's project manager Mark's experience is invaluable as he co-ordinates the structural, electrical and drafting teams for the Company's operations in Australia and Malaysia.
